I am originally from North Vancouver. I began training Capoeira in 1999 with Mestre Barrao at his downtown academy on Smithe street. Those stairs were killer the next day after a hard Class. For Two years I trained 6 days a week, sometimes 7 - my family didn't know what was going on...I was hooked. I traveled with the groupo to Brazil in 2000 and again in 2001. I then decided to move to the U.S.V.I to train Capoeira in St. Croix and to help Menino with the groupo that he was starting on the island.
